Ed was striding through the Nexus, he'd been planning to buy a gun or something for Sarah. A big gun that even Sloth might have trouble against. But the downside was, all the stores that sold such things were outside the AV field.

He kept walking, alert and every muscle tensed and on edge just in case. Outside the AV field, anything could happen...

When Ed gets home it's about 3am. He unlocks the door as quietly as he can, stepping inside and quickly shedding his boots and coat. He tiptoes over to the kitchen and grabs a snack and a drink before peeking into the bedroom.

Ed was, to make put it simply, a little nervous. Walking up to his own front door, dressed casually, and carrying a bunch of roses. Well, to be more specific, he felt like a complete and utter dork, but he wasn't so sure why. And it didn't really need much thought, so he let it pass.

Reaching the door, he reached into his pocket for the keys, before thinking a moment. He put them back and knocked. Waiting for Sarah to answer.

Ed stepped back into the apartment. Throwing his coat over the back of the couch.

"This is stupid. I'm going to some stupid northern district to find some stupid person that I've never even heard of." He took Mooky out of his tank and set him on the floor, then slid open the doors and stepped out onto the patio. The sun was setting, and he stared into it. Al was supposed to come get him later, so he'd wait until then. Unless Al forgot...then he'd just have to go looking.

Sighing quietly, he leaned on the railing watching the sun drop below the buildings. Soon it was dark, but he didn't move, the expression on his face was thoughtful, and somewhat troubled. And he didn't like what he was thinking about one tiny bit. Shaking his head he looked down at the picture in his hand, the polaroid of him and Sarah on the boat.

Well, let's do the meme revival! Yay! Some random facts about Ed. The one's marked with an * are things that have stemmed from his experiences in the Nexus.

1.) While he still utterly hates people calling him short, he's learning to control his outbursts. Sometimes he's able to suppress it to the merest twitch, others all hell breaks loose.

Ed steps into the bare apartment. He grabs the phone and dials the number Sarah had given him, idly wondering if he was being charged international rates, and if so, how the hell were they measured over different worlds. But anyway, the ring tone came on.

"C'mon sweetheart, pick up."

Ed kicked the door closed behind him as he stepped back into the apartment. It had been a few days in Amestris time. But apparently, judging by the date on the digital calendar on the wall, it had only been one in the Nexus. This time thing is getting confusing.

He flung open the curtains, letting the sun shine through the windows into the room. Well, there was a whole lot of packing to do. Clothes, books, pictures. A tonne of memories to take back. So he began straight away. Taking off his jacket, and rolling up his sleeves, he started taking the books off their shelves, sorting them, then putting them into boxes.

Hours later, the shelves were bare, the cupboards empty, and all the pictures gone. Ed himself was rather dusty, hot and bothered. Dropping onto the couch, he gazed upsidedown around the room. Soon, he was fast asleep, with only the tick of the wall clock as company.

But I can color in Photoshop! Woo! Break out the champangne! *Promptly ignores that he's underage to drink*
